"It's been a really long afternoon. I just wish my parents would read this one."

Hi. I'm Gulliver Wimple, a fictional character from Hoefield, USA. I'm in the 10th grade and I play basketball for my school's team, the Prairie Dogs. Okay, I usually just watch from the bench. Actually, I'm not very good at sports...or school...or anything. But I've been somewhere and met someone who's shown me things most kids can't even imagine. Goofy creatures. Evil predators. But what sticks with me most is the amazing treasure a little girl showed me. Her name is Dar.

After I returned I started keeping a journal. Every time I find a new gem I write it down. Or at least I try to. Sometimes I go a long time without writing anything, I should every day, but the days I forget to go "treasure hunting" usually aren't worth writing about, anyway.
