Our Blessing Song:
May Your Future Be Bright

       Do you need a bit of encouragement?  A ray of hope?  The days may seem dark, but God has a bright future planned for you.  We want to drown out the sounds of cursing and discouragement you may have heard during your day, and replace them with the words of blessing you’ll hear in this song.
       In the spring of 1982 a dear friend challenged me to pronounce a blessing on each of my kids every night for seven days.  That friend (who is now in the presence of Jesus) and his challenge made a powerful impact on me, and the practice never ended.  Since then, over 12,000 nights have passed, and Jan & I still pronounce a nightly blessing on each of our children... individually, intimately, and in their hearing.  Each blessing is different, sincere, and eagerly anticipated.  And the things we have spoken in faith, God has turned into reality over and over again.
       In September 2009 while displaying my Bright Future Books at an outdoor festival in Indiana, a gentle tune and some simple words popped into my head.  That was the beginning of our Blessing Song: May Your Future Be Bright.  The music and lyrics were written by me, and the song was recorded by 12 singers -- my 9 daughters, 2 daughters-in-law, and Jan.
       There's always someone eager to take your money, dash your dreams, and step on your dignity.  But God has blessings in mind for you that others can’t touch and you can’t imagine.
