"The Gems of Dara Mhór is the G.O.A.T. of teen fantasy! Best book I have ever read! Lots of authors say their book is a page-turner, but this book ACTUALLY IS. No kidding, it's a solid 10 out of 10. This amazing book magnifies the power of Wisdom, which in the story is actually a person, a girl named Dar. She calls seven different teenagers into the world of Dara Mhór, and they all see her very differently. Gulliver Wimple (the main character) is on a mission to save himself, his friends, and his entire world back home. To do this, he must learn how to overcome dangerous forces that are trying to destroy him. The story is an interesting mixture of fantasy and reality, failure and redemption. The character of Dar and the fight between good and evil are as real as it gets, and it really made me want to dig deeper into Dar's truths. I strongly encourage other teenagers to check out Gulliver Wimple and The Gems of Dara Mhór" — J.S. (15)
"The Gems of Dara Mhór is so intriguing! It is packed full of action, excitement, and adventure!! It has cliffhangers and some romance, but even better, it has powerful principles for successfully living your life. This suspenseful book makes you ponder about what is clouding your mind and how to overcome it. I had an awesome time reading it and I can't wait for the sequel!" — P.B. (15)
"The Gems of Dara Mhór is a wonderful story and teaches a great lesson. Dar's poems are easy to remember and very helpful. I'm so excited for the next book!" — B.R. (10)
"I’m so thankful this book was written! It’s such an important message — especially for kids and teens who are trying to navigate a world with so many lies and discouragements to tear down their self-esteem. The message of wisdom and truth throughout the book was strong and consistent, delivered through a series of fun adventures that kept me engaged. Very relatable and intriguing characters, and the whimsical world of Dara Mhór overlaying the familiar world of high school made for a fun read. But most importantly, I walked away with many gems of wisdom. After all, wisdom and truth are most easily remembered when told through stories. Would highly recommend!" — A.S. (26)

"The story line was gripping, and the characters were likable and relatable. I very much recommend!" — A.J.S. (13)
"The Gems of Dara Mhór has the essential qualities of a good
read — an intriguing story that provokes your curiosity and makes you want to jump to the the end of the book to see how things turn out; and good development of characters who we all can relate to. It will appeal to fans of Tolkien, Lewis, and Rowling. For parents and grandparents struggling to find positive stories that will appeal to their young loved ones, it is an excellent character building resource. Putting positive input into young minds requires capturing their attention. In The Gems of Dara Mhór, Gary Bower meets both of those hard-to-achieve goals; it is both interesting and beneficial. This story will be especially encouraging for teens as they struggle to become their own person and determine what they believe. That said, though I haven’t been a teen for decades, I still found the book very interesting, and I believe it appeals to all ages, though especially relevant to teens." — R.B. (64, dad and grandfather) "This book is excellent! The Wisdom quotes are superior. I have finished reading and am sending it on to my son and the grandkids. You have done an exceptional job teaching truths for youth." — J.H. (Retired Pastor)
"As avid fantasy readers, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Gulliver Wimple and The Gems of Dara Mhór. Gary Bower does a wonderful job of character development, and his captivating storytelling style and imagery make this book a fun read that is hard to put down. His humor consistently brings heartfelt laughter and a sense of believability to all of his characters. As a pastor who has studied the book of Proverbs, it is very clear to me that the author has a very deep understanding of Proverbs. I highly recommend this book!
