A friend – a busy mom with an infant – posed for me by one of my flower gardens. Moments of refreshment like this are so rare for most of us. Whether it's getting lost in a book or a few quiet seconds of meditation and reflection, such brief times can be like a mental oasis that rejuvenates the soul. It was fun to paint the sun coming through her hat onto her face.
